Laboratory for Energy and Switching-Electronic Systems is looking for qualified power electronics researcher, interested in pursuing his/her Ph.D., starting fall 2024. Areas of focus are as follows: 1) Very-High-Frequency and High-Power-Density Wide-Bandgap Power Electronics, 2) Cyber-Robust Control of Power Electronics (with focus on solid-state transformer and inverter), 3) Power Semiconductor Devices (with focus on Ultra-Wide-Bandgap Optical Devices), and 4) Multi-scale control of power electronics. You must have demonstrated hardware (and fabrication) experience in power electronics (power semiconductor devices) and good academic standing.
